It was the early hours of 2024 we had last left in the night. It feels wrong to be up so late, but it's nice. And in the case I'd be hungry, I brought two protein bars. Which felt excessive. Well then, that couldn't satiate me because it's ill manner to ask of whens during a drive, so I wasn't sure when we'd be stopping for breakfast.
So my auntie passed on over onigiri. And Mom had tamago sandwiches. And tamago sandwiches. And tamago sandwiches. And finally at eight, we stopped for some real breakfast that was hasbrowns and hotcake. And on the car again I ate tamago sandwiches. And some oranges. An onigiri from my auntie. We were really accompanying family of our auntie, who's actually a family friend, but I'm sure auntie applies for any female family friends of a certain age. They were vacationing in Japan for the winter and for the little girl's birthday were taking her over to Shirakawa-Go to quell her desire to see Norwegian snow. And they brought cakes. That I ate. There was at first a little of a confusion when we had met on who it was the older brother and younger sister was, as I have unfortunately, and I loathe to admit it, the curse of being shorter than my little sister. Unfortunate. But I feel as though it would've been quite clear who was the younger sister and who was not from who and who was not wearing a skirt and stockings. My mom isn't a very liberal type even if it happened the eldest son did dress like that.
There was difficulty with the awful snow so that we arrived sixteen hours after we had set fourth. I couldn't the energy to ball up snow for snowball fights or snowmen, so I just lay there, and we hadn't any place left for parking so after an hour we left for home again, and returned at nine in the morning. Which would perhaps mean thirty-three hours of roadtrip. Thirty-two of road, one of trip. I survived due to my foresight to have mass downloaded new music onto my device, but lacked the foresight to have brought with me my books to read or write. Which was a real bore. I kept on sleeping with my arms crossed and my head hung, to doze off for an hour and wake, eat something, and to then doze again.
It's a much colder winter than it was the last year, I'm sure it'll rain too in Tokyo soon enough. I might upload photos. To be very honest, it's now two am on the thirty-first in the morning as I write as I got a bit distracted whilst writing. I suppose it's dishonest to date this entry as on the thirtieth. I'm sleeping now.
