[10/31/24] transitional periods then/and the october ends

i did something fun to the colors of this entry for the sake of the special day; happy halloween, mina-san! to be honest, i really do fancy the black backround. pleasing to my eyes... well, i'll consider it for the future.

shibuya is being heavily monitored this halloween night in the case the overcrowding situations like two years ago would occur again.

my least favorite aspect of the process of shopping for clothes is the changing, i've made peace with waiting for hours for the people to hurry up because on my phone i have downloaded pdfs, and if i happen to be lucky, the store has wi-fi. i have been skipping p.e. often too, needless to say i'm not an athlete and never have been. why, i have quite fond memories of being hospitalized due to tennis balls hitting the facial area twice. such fond memories.

it's not that though. i'm content with sitting in my corner and picking at the field of faux greenery, it's the changing. it's an awkward transitional moment. it's a reason i dread to shower despite that i do love to shower, but i grit my teeth and get it over with as only when i no longer feel like some form of grease monster i can carry on with the rest of my routine.

i would be so enthusiastic about the concept of halloween costumes to the dismay of my fickle parents, and thus the most extravagant halloween costume i lay any claim to was a two-dollar hat and my dad's black shirt that was incredibly large on me. we called it a day, called it a wizard. the most creative was when i wore regular attire but carried around a maths textbook going as a math teacher though-- actually, i can't remember if i went cold turkey and went costumeless (as in, textbookless) that day or not, and my friend had in mind going as "taxes", though i also cannot remember if he carried through with that concept.

october happens to be a favorite of the months; now that it is coming to an end, i can practically hear tomorrow the barrage of mariah carey.
